Who we are

Formed in 2006 to provide service support for marine seismic surveys for oil and gas exploration, Supported Marine Surveys (SMS) has grown to become the industry leader in SE Asia. SMS was jointly formed by three men with a combined total of over 60 years working on exploration projects:

  • Rudy Sujono, Managing Director of PT Sinma Shipping, who handles most of the seismic vessels operating in Indonesia
  • Mick Lord, a seismic navigator and survey project manager, who has worked on SE Asia exploration surveys for 20 years
  • Dick Arrington, a consultant operations geophysicist, who has managed seismic projects in SE Asia for over 30 years.
